Today I decided to go bother my co-worker and see what they had on their desks. So let’s see which co-worker has made their desk their home.
Some people may have a coffee mug and others may have pictures. Adding a personal touch to your work space can make it feel more comfortable. No matter if you’re a CEO, or a new hire, everyone likes to make their work space their own. Let’s take a trip around the office and see what the re:fab team members have on their desks. First stop is Joann. She has a yellow lab stuffed animal and her wedding picture – both items remind her of family & home.
Maggie has some pictures of her family all around here desk as well as her coffee cup. Sherrie keeps its simple and neat with just some photos of her with her mom and dad. When ever Elias gets hungry, he has a drawer full of snacks, and whenever he wants to be reminded of who won the World Series, he has a bunch of articles and posters of the Boston Red Sox. Brian keeps a very professional work space with an up to date picture of his son on his laptop, information of people he networks with, awards, his numbers so he can track his sales, contact information for the office and a coffee at all times.
Jay works remotely, but he still keeps his home office personalized. He has a picture of his nephew, old wind-up clocks given to him by his grandparents and water at the ready. Courtney displays a canvas she painted herself, a few broken promo items people in the office leave on her desk and a never ending iced tea from Dunkin Donuts. Brandon likes his work space to “ be as homey as possible,” with a fan that saves his life on hot days, a bear from Jay, local sports team schedules, and the most important item on Brandon’s desk is a ceramic leaf made by children in the Cardinal Cushing Center. I have airsoft patches from games that I have attended. Everyone likes adding their own personal touch to their work place, and it definitely shows each individual personality!
