Project Manager

re:fab is a full-service painting and renovation company based out of Lakeville, MA which services New England projects. re:fab offers a fast paced, professional, and respectful working environment; including a full benefit package. Pay will be commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in performing detailed take-offs of property conditions, blueprints for small, medium, and large projects utilizing estimating software like Xactimate, Quick Bid and other software for residential and commercial structures. Experience in document review and analyses of schedules, contracts, change orders, daily construction reports as well as technical reports. A strong working knowledge of all project phases including conceptual and schematic drawings to a completed project. The role is a combination of inside & outside project management with local travel required.

Framer/Drywaller

re:fab is looking for an experienced carpenters/framers to work as a subcontractor for commercial and residential projects throughout the New England area.

In this position, the carpenter will be responsible for all aspects of pricing, building, installing, and repairing structures and other items using different types of materials including wood and other building materials for our commercial and residential renovation division. Our ideal candidate must be familiar with various types of commercial and residential new construction, rough framing, siding, window and door installation and remodeling jobs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our estimating team on job quotes
  • Measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from re:fab supervisors
  • Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
  • Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects
  • Join materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive
  • Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed
  • Install windows, doors, cabinets, partitions, moldings, etc.
  • Remodel homes and businesses
  • Perform carpentry work in a neat, organized and timely manner
  • Work with our operations team to obtain permits for construction work to be performed, if needed
  • Work collaboratively with the re:fab estimating and operations team
  • Keep detailed reports of work completed and report daily logs to re:fab team
  • Complete jobs on time and budget
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, and adhere to company standards and safety program
  • Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines

General Requirements:
  • Applicant MUST have a reliable & insured truck or van to travel to and from job sites.
  • Working cell phone
  • Ability to travel to jobs located throughout the New England area
  • This is a FULL TIME employee position
Compensation:
  • Hourly compensation depending on experience
  • Weekly general wear and tear vehicle stipend
  • Gas reimbursement
The Right Fit Should/Have:
  • Have general knowledge of ladder and power equipment use (i.e. sanders, sprayers, large ladders, lifts, etc.).
  • Have a thorough understanding of preparation procedures (i.e. sanding, caulking, sealing, etc.).
  • Show an ability to learn all painting functions; i.e. paint windows, doors, soffits, fascia, shutters, etc.
  • Arrive to the job or pick-up spot prior to designated time daily, unless otherwise specified by crew leader or supervisor.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to perform light carpentry
  • Apply wall coverings as directed by supervisor.
  • Submit reports on all worked performed.
  • Make recommendations to his/her supervisor as necessary on the condition of wall coatings and coverings in the facility.
  • Must be able to read/understand English
  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; adhere to company standards and safety program.
