On September sixth our CEO Dave Moura gave the team members at the Fairhaven branch a challenge. “How do we survive winter besides moving the entire company and everyone to Florida?”
Dave made the decision to make this year different than pervious by having our CFO, VP of operations and our Director of Business Development pick teams of ten. The teams consisted of members of the front office along with Project Managers, Foreman, Painters and Crew Leaders. The challenge had been issued and teams picked. The first to pick was decided by rock paper scissors and ended up being Jay Pinto, our Director of Business Development. His Team name was “What the Puck!!!” This was stemmed from them all being fans of the Boston Bruins and the fact that we now have a partnership with the hockey team. In the starting line up there is Jay, Brian, Carla, Elias, Danny, Amanda, Nelson, Joao C, Matt Girard and Louie. Next was Joann Ruff, our VP of Operations, with the team “Maggie’s Kids.” Since Joann had picked her mother Maggie to be on her team, the name made sense. Joann Ruff, Maggie Arruda, Matt Ferreira, Brandon Denault, Ricardo Carreiro, Joel Feldman, Glen Szela, Manny Fragoso, Rute Fragoso and Julio Gonzalez made up this big happy family. Finally, there was Sherrie, our CFO, with Team “Borgzz,” which is Sherrie’s last name, along with the licenses plate of her car. Team Borgzz consisted of Sherrie, Courtney, Rich, Rich C., Patrick, Phil, Jason, Joao P, Jeremy and Scott. Dave decided that he liked a number of ideas from all three teams, so he decided to combine them all and create one large campaign with a bunch of activities.
