During The Institute of Real Estate Managements Boston Chapter’s 80th Anniversary Gala on September 12, 2018, re:fab’s longtime Business Development associate Brian Shimkus was awarded Industry Partner of the Year. IREM is an international collection of individuals dedicated to advancements of real estate management. This award recognizes an outstanding member of the IREM community and was carefully chosen by the organization’s Chapter Awards Committee.
“Congratulations Brian, we are so happy for you and so proud of your accomplishments with IREM Boston and with ProGroup Contracting. This is a tremendous honor, one that you deserve and worked hard for,” says 2018 IREM Boston President Gregg Jenner.
Shimkus received the award at Granite Links in Quincy, MA in the company of Jenner, IREM National President Don Wilkerson, many past presidents, chapter dignitaries and members.
Brian Shimkus has worked at ProGroup Contracting for over seven years and has been an active IREM member for nearly six. He’s maintained a passion and commitment to IREM as a member of the Executive Council Committee, the Co-Chair of the IREM Golf Tournament Committee and the Co-Chair of Friends of IREM.
During his time with re:fab, he’s received numerous awards for his effort, including the 2015 Over 2 Million in Sales Award and the 2016 Sales Associate of the Year. Shimkus also dedicates himself to the community, charities, and non-profits, including the Watertown Boys & Girls Club and the Pan-Mass Challenge.
