We’re seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Renovations team. This role is ideal for someone early to mid-career who is motivated, organized, adaptable, and willing to travel to get the job done right.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Execution & Oversight

  • Manage projects from award through closeout
  • Conduct site inspections and document existing conditions
  • Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, materials, and vendors
  • Track budgets, timelines, and overall project progress
  • Review plans, scopes, contracts, change orders, and reports

Estimating & Pre-Construction

  • Perform takeoffs from plans and field conditions
  • Assist with estimates using Xactimate, QuickBid, Bluebeam, or similar tools
  • Collect and evaluate subcontractor pricing
  • Support value engineering and cost-saving opportunities

Communication & Teamwork

  • Collaborate with Operations, Estimating, and Field teams
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Proactively report project status, risks, and solutions

Required

Travel Requirement

  • Regular travel throughout New England, with occasional travel beyond the region
  • Overnight stays required based on project needs

Procurement/Materials Sourcing Specialist (Lakeville, MA)

Position Overview

re:fab is seeking a Procurement / Materials Sourcing Specialist to act as the critical link between Estimating and Operations. This role is responsible for sourcing, pricing, and procuring materials for construction projects —first during the estimating phase and then through final purchasing once a project is awarded.

 

Key Responsibilities

Estimating Support

  • Partner with the Estimating team to source and price materials during bid and pre-construction phases
  • Identify multiple material options and suppliers to support competitive and accurate estimates
  • Provide up-to-date pricing, lead times, and availability to support bid accuracy
  • Maintain historical pricing data and vendor insights to improve future estimates

 

Project Procurement

  • Transition materials from estimate to execution once a job is awarded
  • Solicit quotes, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders with approved vendors
  • Coordinate with Operations and Project Managers to align deliveries with project schedules
  • Track material orders and proactively resolve supply issues

 

Vendor & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Identify and onboard new vendors to expand sourcing options
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on pricing, reliability, and quality
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between re:fab and material suppliers

 

Qualifications (Required)

Junior Estimator

Role Snapshot:

re:fab is hiring a detail-oriented, initiative-taking Junior Estimator to support our Sales and Operations teams. You’ll create accurate, timely estimates for residential and commercial projects using tools like Xactimate and Quick Bid, combining office-based estimating with local site visits.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform detailed takeoffs from property conditions, blueprints, and project documentation (small, medium, and large projects).
  • Complete site inspections and field takeoffs to verify scope, quantities, and job conditions.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates as designs progress—from conceptual/schematic drawings through final bid.
  • Review and analyze schedules, contracts, change orders, daily construction reports, and technical reports.
  • Communicate cost drivers and support value engineering conversations across trades.
  • Support Sales and Operations with clear estimate packages, scope narratives, and timely updates.
  • Help improve estimating efficiency by suggesting process and workflow enhancements.
  • Meet productivity/volume expectations while maintaining accuracy and quality.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail and organization; able to manage multiple estimates with tight timelines.
