The individual will have knowledge in performing detailed take-offs of property conditions, blueprints for small, medium, and large projects utilizing estimating software like Xactimate, Quick Bid and other software for residential and commercial structures. Experience in document review and analyses of schedules, contracts, change orders, daily construction reports as well as technical report. A strong working knowledge of all project phases including conceptual and schematic drawings to a detailed final bid estimate. The role is a combination of inside & outside estimating with local travel required.

Project Coordinator

We are seeking to add an initiative-taking Project Coordinator to our team. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling estimators and project managers’ schedules to meet with clients on all remodel projects, as well as tracking turnaround to ensure all proposals are submitted within the required time frame. They will manage internal reports to ensure timelines and required documents are reported. They are a key player in making and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. The Project Coordinator will also be required to help write and proof project proposals, therefore must be well-written and feel confident representing re:fab in a professional manner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling & daily management for all remodel projects
  • Management of estimator’s & project managers schedules
  • Detailed tracking of all renovation project leads and ensuring timely turnarounds
  • Tracking and approving job set-up documentation
  • Communication with clients, estimators, project managers, sales reps, and subcontractors, all while building and maintaining these relationships

Framer/Drywaller

re:fab is looking for an experienced carpenters/framers to work as a subcontractor for commercial and residential projects throughout the New England area.

In this position, the carpenter will be responsible for all aspects of pricing, building, installing, and repairing structures and other items using different types of materials including wood and other building materials for our commercial and residential renovation division. Our ideal candidate must be familiar with various types of commercial and residential new construction, rough framing, siding, window and door installation and remodeling jobs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our estimating team on job quotes
  • Measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from re:fab supervisors
  • Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
  • Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects
  • Join materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive
  • Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed
  • Install windows, doors, cabinets, partitions, moldings, etc.
  • Remodel homes and businesses
  • Perform carpentry work in a neat, organized and timely manner
  • Work with our operations team to obtain permits for construction work to be performed, if needed
  • Work collaboratively with the re:fab estimating and operations team
  • Keep detailed reports of work completed and report daily logs to re:fab team
  • Complete jobs on time and budget
