Role Snapshot:

 

re:fab is hiring a detail-oriented, initiative-taking Junior Estimator to support our Sales and Operations teams. You’ll create accurate, timely estimates for residential and commercial projects using tools like Xactimate and Quick Bid, combining office-based estimating with local site visits.

What You’ll Do:

 

• Perform detailed takeoffs from property conditions, blueprints, and project documentation (small, medium, and large projects).
• Complete site inspections and field takeoffs to verify scope, quantities, and job conditions.
• Develop detailed cost estimates as designs progress—from conceptual/schematic drawings through final bid.
• Review and analyze schedules, contracts, change orders, daily construction reports, and technical reports.
• Communicate cost drivers and support value engineering conversations across trades.
• Support Sales and Operations with clear estimate packages, scope narratives, and timely updates.
• Help improve estimating efficiency by suggesting process and workflow enhancements.
• Meet productivity/volume expectations while maintaining accuracy and quality.

What We’re Looking For:
